My name is Chuck Michael Ostan. I am an addictions counsellor, and front desk supervisor for a homeless shelter/addictions program. I have been in this line of work for approximately fifteen years. One of my passions during this time has been writing. I write mostly about addictions, and the homeless situation from a Christian perpective. My hope and prayer is that we, those of us who are in relationship with Jesus Christ, reach out to our fallen brothers and not give in to judging them. For reasons we sometimes don't understand many have fallen to hard times. More than anything they need our love and a shoulder to lean on. Having worked in this field for the best part of 15 years, I've seen the good love can do and the hurts where there is no love. Many of them are now at a point in their live where they are seeking God. With love and encouragement they have a chance of turning their lives around. Jesus said He would bring us to an understanding of His truth. Jude 2:24-" I am able to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy." As stewards of the Lord and His church we are responsible to welcome all who would enter and eat at His table, any who would accept His sacrifice and His gospel of the kingdom. Accept them all, welcome them and don't judge! | |
